While there is a lot of controversy over the mandates of wearing face mask. There are some questions or facts that are being overlooked rather not addressed. Rather it is for personal gain or out of fear of the unknown.

Some in the medical profession are saying that it should be mandated that everyone needs to wear a mask to protect themselves and others from Covid, yet others are saying it is not necessary. So, do we stand a 50/50 chance of catching Covid or not? Who really knows? It seems like the doctors and politicians can’t make up their minds. With all the indecisiveness who are we to believe?

Any way we look at there are some questions that need to be addressed.

1. Are face mask going to be mandated as PPE along with safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and earplugs?

2. There are those people that are unable to wear face masks due to breathing conditions. Are they doomed to live a life in exile because they cannot wear a face mask?

3. Then if you consider that most people were taught as children not to trust anyone other than doctors who wear a mask that hides their identity (Only criminals wear a mask.) With trust issues on the rise mandating will only cause more mistrust among people.

Now we come to the health concerns of individuals. While wearing a mask may prevent you from catching covid or slowing the spread of it. The wearing of a mask daily or for prolonged periods can cause lung infections. while there are some studies out there that say no harm or lung problems are caused by wearing a mask for prolonged periods will not harm you. since covid started there have been cases of people being hospitalized or dying from lung infections caused by wearing a mask for prolonged periods.

Although there is studies out there about the ill effects wearing a mask will have. They are more inconclusive than decisive. With more people wearing mask for prolonged periods what ill effects will it cause them. What we need is a study with a real-life scope. But in order to get that more and longer studies need to be made. If you were you were to ask me, I would say the studies were too short, did not cover all the different breathing conditions that exist in the world therefore inconclusive.

Better more in-depth studies need to be done to determine the hazards of wearing a face mask for prolonged periods will or will not cause.

While some may call me cold-hearted, we cannot ignore the facts. Social distancing used to be the norm or common up to the mid to late 1900s.

below is a chart I made to show how our forefathers thought social distancing should be. Which at one point was the norm for people to follow.

For some reason, people started standing too close to one another. Not giving the personal space we all need and crave. In my opinion, we would be better off if we would go back to following the same rules for social distancing our forefathers used.

So, my question’s to you is:

· Are you wearing a face mask or not, and why did you choose to wear one or not wear one?

· What type of social distancing are you practicing?

Please let me know your answers.

Please give it some serious thought and let me know what your thoughts are.
